CSSD-SIRIS Business Disaster Recovery (BDR) devices use cutting edge hardware. Each disaster recovery appliance shipped in Fairfield County, CT comes with a minimum of a 64 bit quad core processor and up to 48 GB of ultra fast DDR3 memory.
Unlike many competing solutions, all SIRIS devices use high end 7200 RPM SATA hard drives with a 5 year manufacturers warranty and 50,000 Hr MTBF. In addition to using the most powerful hardware, all SIRIS devices are equipped with multiple levels of hardware monitoring allowing Computer Systems Support & Design to be proactive in the rare event of a hardware issue.
SIRIS devices take advantage of multiple types of RAID to ensure that data stored on local devices is always protect against failure. In addition some devices include RAID 10 storage combining both very high IO speeds with high levels of redundancy meaning that in a disaster the SIRIS device can handle the loads of even the most demanding of servers.
